Workday is the HR information system that Van Leeuwen has been implementing and using since a couple of years. In all operating companies in 33 countries, Workday and its Human Capital Management (HCM) have been implemented. As the system has so much more to offer, like Performance Management, Talent Pools and Succession Planning, Absence Management, Learning, Advanced Compensation and a Recruiting module, one of your key goals would be to further implement these modules in the different countries. We are currently in the process of rolling out these modules across the different countries. In this implementation phase, you also design and give training to global and local HR teams and non-HR teams on how to use the system.
Besides the implementation of new modules and continuous improvement of Workday, you are also the expert and support center for the business regarding the system. You provide support and follow up on questions, requests, solve issues and perform data loads. You are always busy with configuring the changes needed, testing and analyzing.
You closely collaborate with both your Corporate HR team (consisting of an Executive Director HR, HR Manager, Recruitment Manager, Manager Compensation & Benefits and a Manager Talent & Development), as with local HR teams and other users of the system to understand their needs and proactively come up with ideas and solutions to maximize the business value of the system. You are also closely connected to IT to include impact of changes on integrated and downstream systems.

For Van Leeuwen, the role of our new Workday Specialist is crucial. As you will be the center of expertise on Workday, you will get the chance to have an important impact on the business and to bring the business further by maximizing the business value of the HR system.
Furthermore, you will collaborate with a lot of different (international) stakeholders, as well as with your own team: the Corporate HR team. You will report to the Manager Compensation & Benefits with whom you will also be collaborating on interesting side projects.
