Production Planner, Bolton (UK) The Production Planner is integral to optimizing production processes, ensuring smooth operations and driving efficiency. By fostering collaboration across departments, the Production Planner effectively balances production demands with exceptional service levels, all while supporting the company's broader goals and commitment to customer satisfaction.

Leadership tasks

  • Liaise with Warehouse Managers/ Team Leaders, and other departments to meet production and servicing needs.
  • Ensure a high service level is maintained
  • Attend daily team meetings and deliver reportable figures.

Tasks

  • Prioritise all orders in collaboration with Warehouse Managers/Team Leaders.
  • Maintain organisation and ensure all production paperwork is accurate and up to date.
  • Develop production plans and servicing schedules based on customer demands and operational capabilities.
  • Provide accurate and timely updates regarding potential delays, delivery timelines, and quality issues.
  • Collect and analyse data on production performance and team efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date reports, ensuring full transparency for relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide cross-functional coverage for other roles in SCM job Area when necessary
  • Maintain and keep up date Test Cert and Country of Origin information.
  • To book on all types of stock on to SAP system
  • Creation of documentation for outside processing orders.
  • Liaise with the Procurement Team regarding stock needs & Good Inwards

Qualification

  • Secondary education with strong numeracy and computer literacy skills.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production planning role preferred.
  • Detail-oriented, industrious, and capable of working under pressure.
  • Strong team player with effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Prior training or experience on SAP is preferred.

Hours of work - 37.5 per week, Monday-Friday (Full-time)
