Job Position Location: United Kingdom, Bolton Are you an experienced Warehouse Team Leader? or are you looking to take that next step up in your career? We are looking for somebody who has strong experience of working in a warehouse environment to support our warehouse manager in Bolton to lead the teams. In this role you will prioritise safety. You will support your team to develop their skills and methods to maximise both safety and productivity. You will take a key role in implementing our continuous improvement processes and coordinate operational running in your relevant warehouse, including; plan and organise production and saw activity, supervising material movement, managing external contractors and working in collaboration with internal stakeholders to address topical issues/escalating where appropriate. QHSE

Drive safety first approach and culture of feedback and improvement
Adhere to QHSE policies, procedures, training, culture, compliance, audits investigation/root cause analysis, follow up and continuous improvement
Ensure equipment, PPE and Machinery is suitable and safe
Collaborate with QHSE to identify and define suitable/sufficient risk assessments and safe systems of work

Site Performance

Work with the senior warehouse team leader to ensure communications is executed in line with company strategy including tool box talks, stop to fix, start of shift briefs, weekly/quarterly comms
Identify cost efficiencies and productivity improvements
Optimising the manpower in your area to maintain capacity, value added activity is saw cutting.
Support the senior warehouse team leader in monitoring KPIs and communicating these with the wider team
Ensure timely and accurate communication with all relevant departments on any factors which will impact on delivery dates, commitments to customers and identify opportunities to improve
Implement 5s culture as best practice and ensure these standards are adhered to daily

People

Work with the senior warehouse team leader to identify skills gaps and support training requirements accordingly
Coach and Develop team members and drive employee engagement as well as a positive workplace culture
Create an open door work environment where everyone has a voice to enable a continuous improvement ethos where the cultivation of ideas are for free
Be present and accessible to support all site team members
Act as a Change champion- lead by example and promote change initiatives positively and effectively.
